Terms of Use
Last updated: September 3, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and CrossPaths ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the CrossPaths mobile application and website crosspaths.au (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The Service is intended solely for users who are 18 years of age or older. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. We may request proof of age at any time and may suspend or terminate accounts that we believe belong to a user under 18.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may not impersonate another person or create an account for anyone other than yourself.
CrossPaths has ZERO TOLERANCE for objectionable content or abusive users of any kind. This includes, without limitation, content or conduct that is: obscene, pornographic, or sexually explicit; hateful, discriminatory, or harassing; violent, threatening, or intended to incite harm; defamatory or intentionally false; related to the exploitation or endangerment of a minor in any way; promoting illegal activity, self-harm, or terrorism; or otherwise abusive, exploitative, or harmful to other users.
Any user found to have posted objectionable content or engaged in abusive behavior will have the content removed and may have their account suspended or permanently banned from the Service, at our sole discretion and without prior notice. We cooperate with law enforcement where required.
Every user profile, chat message, and event group message includes a "Report / Block" option. Reporting a user or piece of content sends it to our safety team for review; blocking a user immediately and permanently prevents that person from viewing your profile, messaging you, or matching with you again. We review reports as a priority and may remove content, ban a reported user, or refer the matter to law enforcement as appropriate.
We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, review, or remove any user-generated content at our discretion, with or without notice. Event organizers and venue moderators may pin, remove, or moderate messages within their own event chats. Removal of content or suspension of an account does not require prior notice.
In addition to the conduct described above, you agree not to: harass, stalk, or threaten other users; upload content you do not have the rights to; use the Service for commercial solicitation without our consent; attempt to circumvent a block or ban; or use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. CrossPaths connects people at real-world events; you are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and in person, and should exercise caution and good judgment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrossPaths is not liable for the conduct of any user, on or off the Service.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
If you have questions about these Terms, please contact us at support@crosspaths.au.
